Taproot Recipes

Taproot is a mobile app concept designed to encourage healthier eating habits among college students and young adults. Nutrition has a significant impact on physical and mental health, yet many in this age group struggle with maintaining balanced diets. Poor eating habits can lead to reduced energy, focus, and overall well-being.

Taproot addresses this by combining motivation and community through a weekly ranking system that rewards users for preparing nutritious meals. By turning healthy eating into a friendly competition, the app aims to make nutrition more engaging and sustainable, supporting long-term lifestyle improvements.

Blue Sky: Web Redesign

At Blue Sky Bee Supply, I led a full redesign of the company’s e-commerce website, one of the most impactful internal projects during my time there. The original site had several critical issues, including cluttered navigation, dead links, poor image quality, outdated visuals, and a confusing label ordering system. Many navigation elements were broken or led to unrelated pages, making the overall experience frustrating for users and misaligned with the brand’s goals.

I managed a small team throughout the redesign, overseeing both creative direction and technical execution. Our primary objective was to improve usability and create a modern, intuitive site that supported a better shopping experience. We focused on streamlining navigation, fixing functionality errors, updating visuals, and making the overall layout more accessible and user-friendly. This page highlights the process and key improvements that resulted from the project.
